Our actions

To enable the long-term conservation of La Réunion dry forest, several phases of acquiring data and techniques are necessary. Dealing with the flora and fauna of this unique habitat requires specific knowledge and skills to develop an efficient process, respectful of the semi-dry environment.

The key phases are :

  • Preparatory studies
  • Harvest
  • Production
  • Green work
  • Follow-up

In all, our actions consist in evaluating the ecological interest and the functional role of some animals on this ecosystem, improving the knowledge of certain species present in the herbaceous stratum and understanding their interactions with other strata. Furthermore, we are to launch action protocols and call upon experts from the Indian ocean region and other overseas land.
